Michael Donnelly
Michael Donnelly Sensei's interest in Japanese culture
started with his first exposure to the Japanese martial
art of aikido in 1976. He is now a third-degree black
belt in aikido, affiliated with the Kokusai Budoin and
Shudokan Martial Arts Association. In addition, Mr.
Donnelly is a Senior Advisor with the Shudokan Martial
Arts Association.
Donnelly Sensei, while primarily interested in budo
(martial ways) in Japanese culture, has recently become
interested in the history of medical ethics in China
and Japan and their legal and philosophical interactions
with Western medical ethical models and practice.
Mr. Donnelly has worked as an attorney and a pathologist's
assistant. While not the legal counsel for the Sennin
Foundation, he often serves as our unofficial legal
advisor. He is a resident of Andover, New Hampshire.
