niwa
Niwa, or Japanese gardens, are loved throughout the world for their beauty and peaceful serenity. Unlike the artificial landscapes found in many Western gardens, the Japanese niwa symbolizes a vast natural panorama in a smaller, limited area. Influences from Zen and Shinto are found in the aesthetics of the Japanese garden, and these concepts allow its enthusiasts to go beyond mere gardening if they are so inclined.
