Noh is the oldest form of Japanese drama. Noh is an extremely ornate combination of drama and dance, which is supplemented by music and song. In noh, the primary actors don masks and elegant apparel is worn. Reality is sublimated via the use of these masks, which coexist with a plethora of metaphorical actions.
